Iliodora Margellos interviewed on the Sound & Vision podcast

Iliodora Margellos is an artist born in Minneapolis who lives and works in Athens, Greece. She graduated from Yale University in 2006 with a BA in Art, and later worked at the studio of Peter Halley. She expanded her artistic practice with studies in photography and printmaking at the Columbia School of Arts and drawing at the Salzburg Academy of Fine Arts in Austria. She reimagines these symbols of childhood vulnerability and post-partum co-dependency as rigidly metallic - yet malleable - wire mesh screens decoratively penetrated by brightly-hued islands of delicate thread.
