Francesca Gabbiani's film 'Sea of Fire' (2022) is included in The Getty Research Institute's 'Fire Szn'.
A screening on October 22, 2022, will be followed by a conversation between the artist and Fire Szn's curator Catherine Taft, exploring how Gabbiani's work responds to the anxiety of environmental destruction and political structures through the lens of a spiritual reconnection to nature. Their talk will address the tenets of ecofeminism and the ways artists have mined the intersections of gender and nature over time.
