"Day for Night" refers to the cinematographic set technique used to simulate a night scene shot during daylight using specific filters. Under this title, the 22 invited artists will present a total of 44 posters in the cinema showcases.

All the artists of the exhibition show a strong interest in image-making - conceptually and literally - often in relation to film. Some of the works refer directly to photography and moving images, others focus on performative strategies. Finally, some are dedicated to the poster itself and various collage, printing and reproduction techniques.

The exhibition was conceived by the artists Susanne Bürner and Dominique Hurth. It will be on view until the cinemas will use their showcases again. The exhibition can be supported with the purchase of the artists' posters on indiegogo.com "day for night".
