The Pully Art Museum presents  Come-back! Figurative Art in Switzerland: A Female Scene , an exhibition that brings together  some thirty artists from different generations to provide an overview of contemporary figurative painting in Switzerland. Marked by a strong female presence, this artistic scene breaks free from the legacy of Swiss geometric formalism to adopt a postmodern aesthetic based on deconstruction and cultural hybridization.

The works on display, rich in varied references—Japanese manga, American series, digital culture, feminist podcasts—are freely inspired by popular culture, political and social news, as well as the artists' personal experiences. This blend gives rise to a new iconography where intuition and emotion predominate, deliberately ignoring the boundaries between high and low culture.

In addition to the works of contemporary artists, the exhibition highlights key Swiss and international figures who have influenced the imagination and practice of the artists in the exhibition. These works, the result of generous loans, enrich the visual dialogue while anchoring this new generation in the continuity and history of contemporary painting.

Public opening on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 6 p.m., at the Pully Art Museum
