Biography

Rooted in his queer biography and the anxious climate of our time, Benjamin Renoux’s work explores the realms of intimacy and portraiture by combining photography with other media such as painting, sculpture, or video. Between pictorial monumentality and documentary fragility, the artist unfolds a quietly troubled yet persistently human poetry in a world where digital omnipresence multiplies realities.

His work has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe and the United States and is part of several private and public collections, including the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Paris). In 2018, his sculptural work was featured in 100 Sculptors of Tomorrow (Thames & Hudson). Benjamin Renoux earned an MA in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins – University of the Arts London in 2014.
