CHTHONIC ARCHIVE: ORPHEUS AT THE MOVIES by Jordan Rountree One-night-only installation and live show on Tuesday July 23, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm

Text, video installation, and performance featuring a tea ritual about lovers ghosting each other. The artist is accompanied by an experimental violinist and an original electronic music score utilizing samples from Don Shirley’s Orpheus In The Underworld recordings.

ORPHEUS: It's then that I became increasingly aware of my gaze as a verb, an incisive laser, full of action and fatal potential. Perhaps she’s right, maybe I’m more comfortable having her in my phone and just that. To have an indestructible mirage of her, forever locked in one moment. Living with a ghost.
